BOOK A FIELD TRIP OR GROUP SCREENING!
JAN 24 – MAR 1, 2019
Children’s Film Festival Seattle, presented by and at Northwest Film Forum in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, will be offering field trip screenings for school groups on weekdays from January 24th to March 1st. Most field trips start at 10 a.m., but we can be flexible regarding times — just ask!
Short film programs, for Pre-K through middle school students, run the gamut from gentle animation for our youngest viewers, to more adventurous international fare for older grades, to challenging, issues-oriented programs for middle schoolers. This year, the festival will offer all-Spanish and all-Japanese language programs as an option for educators.
* Please note this listing contains dates of public programs, but for a field trip, you will choose your own date to come to the festival.
The process of booking is simple:
- Choose a program for your group
- Select two possible dates your group would be able to attend, on a weekday between January 24 and March 1
- Contact firstname.lastname@example.org with your request; be sure to include the name of your school, the grade level of your students, the number who will attend (including chaperones), the programs you are interested in, and the dates and times you are able to attend
Field trip opportunities come complete with post-screening discussions and coloring sheets (for younger students) or journal pages (for selected programs, grades 3-8) that kids can take back to the classroom. Tickets for groups of 20 or more are only $5 per person! Scholarships are available for students who qualify for free or reduced-price school meals.
All field trips will be held at Northwest Film Forum, 1515 12th Avenue, on Capitol Hill. We have two cinemas that can accommodate 120 and 50 people each. Groups of up to 170 people can book both theaters for a single field trip.
